I’m an software engineer and author with over fifteen years of experience writing about and developing for mobile computing platforms.

When not writing for or about mobile platforms, I enjoy hiking and photography with my family and friends in and around the San Lorenzo Valley in central California. When I'm able, I also provide public service through amateur radio as the licensed station KF6GPE.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in pure mathematics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and am a member of the IEEE, ACM, and ARRL.
