I migrated to Australia from Norwich, England in my mid 20's leaving everything and (nearly) everyone I know back there.
Photography, which has been a hobby since I was 16, has always been an expensive hobby as there always had to be 2 sets of prints made, one for me and one to send home! I have never spent a fortune on equipment, but upgraded when I could and my film days ended up with a Canon EOS 50 and a little Pentax Espio.
My first digital was a Sony DSC-P93 and loved it for travelling but missed the SLR so finally parted with the bucks for a Canon EOS 30D which is great.. I make pictures of what I see that interests me and love the way photography makes you more aware of your surroundings and of your place in it.
I enjoy looking at other peoples work and often go to exhibitions around Sydney when I can and try to seek out galleries when I'm travelling... and then there's Flickr!
I started using it as a means to show those back in the UK what I've been up to and where I've been, and now after marrying Pawadee what we've been up to and where we've been!.. but the longer I use it the more time I spend on looking at other peoples photo's and their view of this world.. So if I've bookmarked you or made one of your pictures one of my favourites, thankyou.. I've loved something you've done and hopefully theres something amongst my stuff you'll like!
