My dream job would be to travel the world taking photos!! But I am sure that this is every photographers dream. Like many others I have a day job and I am a photographer on the side. I did go to school for photography, and learned a lot, the main thing I learned was that I liked to photograph what I wanted and not be told what to shoot, when to shoot, and how the end product would look. So, here I am a photographer with a Professional Degree, and I work in Sales in an unrelated field.

My favorite thing to do is to photograph Thunderstorms. Weather has always fascinated me and I love to try and capture its beauty. I have been doing lightning photography for well over 10 years now, and don't think I will be stopping any time soon.

God has created so much beauty in this world, and I try to capture it the best I can. I love the sky, and he paints it so beautifully, I have a lot of photos that capture it, but many times, I just sit and stare at it. I don't always photograph things I am seeing because sometimes, it just doesn't need to be photographed, it is better as a personal memory.

I also enjoy art very much. I wish I could paint, but it is something I struggle with, but I am ok at pencil drawing. Art is much different that photography though. Art is drawing what you see, not what you know, photography is photographing what you know, not what you see. You have to have a vision in your head of what you want your photograph to look like, and transferring what you see in your head, to a photograph is sometimes difficult, but it is very exciting when you finally see your the image in your mind come out through your camera.

I used to be a strictly film photographer, I had a lot of difficulty moving into the digital world. But the more I thought about it, Photography has always been technically driven, so why not embrace the new technology. So, I now have a digital camera, and I love it.
