I'm an amateur horn player and jazz pianist in my spare time. Also I enjoy being an amateur photographer and train traveller. For work I am a project engineer for the UK's railways, but don't let this get in the way of my non-work! Never more happy than when I have a camera with me, even if I am working outside on the railway.
Born in Middlesex, these days I live with my wife and two dogs in one of the nicer parts of Birmingham City in England, with open countryside a stone's throw away.
There is certainly a heavy public transportation theme to my photography, now somewhat tempered by being married, photographing her work and interests, and going places with my wife. We (my wife and I) are members of the National Trust, and I like photographing interesting architecture and art too. I have updated the National Trust sets for one per each place the own so you can go around the set to see what it like...
My main camera is a Canon EOS 50D, and a CanonShot SX200 IS Black - so normally I carry a camera in my pocket, brief case or around my neck during my waking hours.
