"the journey into film begins with a dip of the toes into kestra's stream. here, you will find the still beauties and beasts of life, frozen in time, beautifully rendered as only he knows how."

"Like a world class chef, Kester combines practiced skills and impeccable taste to feed us such eye candy. Cream of bokeh, succulent tones, juicy colours, and crispy sharpness are his specialty ingredients. What Kester sees is what most of us overlook; what we taste from him is better than anything we expect."

He pulls you into his world and makes you really feel as if you are there, wherever it may be. Browse through his photostream and there is no denying it.... Kestra is IT!!"

    K Snaps says:

"Browsing through Kestra’s photo stream, you will see lots of photo style being employed. You will see reportage style B&W you will see mysterious push process bokeh creating mood, atmosphere and above all else mindless fun. Lots of friends are gathered here and from the comments you will learn that he is loved by everyone. His choice of weapon is nothing more than a 50mm lens, but magic happens when light hits the frame and he presses the shutter. Is he a master – you will not notice that from his humble talk – but if you ever browse through his photo stream, not only will you be amazed by the quality of his work, but you can also see his thought process, his attention to detail and the great moment that he captures. I recommend browsing through his stream from the beginning; this will let you see how far he has come and what a wonderful success story it has been so far."

"He's the one that got me hooked on photography back in 2000. Then he had a nikon coolpix 990 and I was saving up for a video cam actually. We discussed why a picture is more powerful than a video sometimes. I was quite intrigued and ended up buying my first camera. A fuji Finepix 4900 Zoom.

We did some snaps here and there and I eventually lost touch with taking serious photographs. But he stayed strong I know, and had faith in the bokeh god.

He's the one I look up to when taking pix. He has this weird mix of passions between a southern mexican from new orleans and a genuine lust for light and shadows."
