Wow, it's hard to describe myself...... I'm (not too much) over 40, I am married to a wonderful man and have 2 beautiful daughters, they are all my best friends, corny i know! Plus we have a fur baby boy, he is a 7 year old poodle, Archie and he is the only one in our family with his very own quilt, you can see it in my photostream.
As far as sewing goes, I love to sew just about anything, quilts, bags, clothing, wall hangings, you name it, i'll have a go. I have just started paper piecing and love it, although i have to get myself psyched into it because i need to concentrate on it, and thats not my strong suit.

I don't really collect anything, although i love dragonflys (my Mum and I always say that when we see one, we know that the other person is thinging of us ) . I also have started buying and making birds and nests for the house, I have found so many different kinds and styles, it seems that i may become a collector after all. wouldnt call myself a great decorator, but my house is filled with lots of things i've made and things people have made for me. Of course there is always some kind of crafty mess laying around, but that's a given, right?

As far as favourite fabrics go, I love bright fresh modern fabrics the most, i especially love sewing themed fabrics and have just bought my very first fat quarter of newsprint fabric for a special project so that might become a new obsession!! I love all kinds of blocks, applique, raw and turned, pieced, traditional, modern, all of them.

I am in a few swaps, The Scrappy Pincushion swap has just started and I am swapping a Mug Rug in a one on one swap in the Scrappy Mug Rug swap.

I am also a member of the "Quilting Journey Round Robin Bee" which is a 20 member group, we send internationally, a block as well as a journal, documenting the journey of our quilt. The ladies in the group are all inspirational and inspiring and I learn so much from them, from sewing tips and how to do something, to uplifting guidance and support in everyday life.

Anyway, thats about all I can think of, I have lots of favourites saved, and i'm trying to get better at uploading photos, but I have a few in there. thanks for reading, take care, Kerry.
