I have been taking pictures since I was about 10 years old, when my father got me an Kodak Instamatic camera.
My first real camera was a Kodak Retina II. I learned on an old fashioned manual camera, using the settings recommended on the back of the Kodak film boxes!
I bought my first slr in 1972, a Nikon Nikomat from Hong Kong.
I really loved that camera and I still have it today.
I started with digital in 2000 and have been upgrading cameras every couple of years. I finally have my beloved 5D Mark II and I hope to have it for a very long time.
I really consider myself an aspiring amateur, who is learning every day. I enjoy shooting almost every day now, and I hope I can continue to learn and improve.
