Kenny and Steve's photostream

Steve, 49 (primary photographer and writer) and Kenny, 40.

Steve has been a 35mm photographer for 25 years+ and a diital photographer since 2004. I currently use a Nikon D80 D-SLR.

In my previous 35mm life I started out using ancient Minolta gear (SRT 202) and in the early 80's switched to Nikon cameras (F2/FE2). For my own photos, I primarily shot Kodachrome 64 pushed to 100.

I was also formally trained as an intelligence photographer for the U.S. Navy. Generally, I used a Canon A1 and shot the now discontinued 25 ISO Technical Pan Black and White film. The film was amazing and under pitch-black conditions, pushed many times, would yeild acceptable images but I digress...

After so many years of photography I felt myself at a crossroads and sold everything, going on non-photo hiatus for a number of years. Although the return to photography has been slow, I am planning to begin scanning archived material to share and will add photos as taken.

Kenny and Steve have been together since 1999. Steve retired fromt he Navy in 2000 and is a disabled Vet. We live in Minneapolis-St. Paul (The Twin Cities) in Minnesota. Kenny somehow tolerates me. The wonders!

Most of the travel documented in the following images was undertaken by Steve, during 20 years in the Navy. Kenny has made repeated trips to Spain and has traveled around America to some degree.
