Ken’s unique style is in his ability to capture naturalness in delicate emotions and intimate moments. He believes that no two weddings are the same, however, ultimately the end results are the same - that is, a portrayal of beauty, happiness and love through his photography.

Ken’s wedding portfolio has earned him a highly prestigious membership with the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) and The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (AGWPJA), an international photography association that represents the most discriminating talent around the world technically, creatively and visually. Less than 5% of the world’s photographers qualify for this membership with the WPJA and AGWPJA. This serves as a recognition to his talent and professionalism of his photography.

Ken is also a member of Wedding Photographers and Portrait International (WPPI) and Society of Wedding Photographers and Portrait (SWPP).

Photojournalism (Reportage)
This is his preferred style of wedding photography - a candid, documentary and unobtrusive approach. Capturing human emotions in its most natural form.

Why Ken enjoys Wedding Photography?
The whole setting of a wedding; the beautifully-dressed people arriving at the church, the nervous anticipation of the bride waiting, the anxious arrival of the sometimes-late bride, the spiritual ceremony, the crying mother… and, the crying father, the laughter and roaring. The love in the air. This is what he looks forward to at every wedding, for every moment is precious, moments worth capturing. For that moment only lasts for a second.

Ken Lam goes International
Due to his interest in culture and travelling, Ken Lam will travel anywhere in the world to capture destination weddings. In UK, he covers weddings in areas such as Newcastle, Manchester, Durham,York, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, or anywhere else required.

Ken’s latest international assignments include a wedding in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and another wedding in Disney World, Orlando, USA, Prewedding in Prague, Paris and London. His next international assignment will be in Hawaii, December 2008 at the luxurious Halekulani Hotel (http://www.halekulani.com/) at Waikiki Island, Honolulu.

Ken speaks three languages: English, Cantonese and Mandarin fluently. He has captured a flavourful of weddings including English weddings and Chinese weddings.
