I am finding that the more I learn about photography the more there is to learn.

There are two aspects of photography that fascinate me. First is the ability to document a moment in time that might very well have gone unseen. To see something as common as two friends talking over coffee and being able to capture the exact instant they break out in laughter; sharing scenes like that are priceless. Second is how focusing on a minute detail of something amplifies the grandness of something. The lines at the corner of a building are what make the building stand noble and strong. These minute details and captured moments are what inspire me to be a better photographer.

I am greatly impressed by most of the people that I have meet on flickr. I aspire to your level of photography. Thanks also to those of you who offer encouragement, constructive critisim, and advice. Some have made me a better photographer, some a better person.

Thank you.

Ken

    Edmontonenthusiast (gone!) says:

"ken215 is a natural at all kinds of photography. I've really been taking interest in his work over the past month and hope to continue to do as such. He makes such eye catching and unthinkable photos using "negative space" (that is...using big spaces of similar shade in a big part of photo, eg sky, blank facade of a structure) as well as amazing black and whites. Black and whites are more something that come natural I believe, and he got some natural talent.

I especially love his different urban and bokeh scenes, truly something to look out for. For those that have just met ken, keep watching his photostream, there's always something interesting to take a look at."

"Ken is a wonderful man and a great photographer with an unfortunate tendency to devalue his own work. So let me set the record straight…

Ken’s photos are outstanding! I truly envy his ability to pull of such amazing images with a point and shoot. There are many beautiful things to be found here – from the iconic to the inspirational to the just plain fun. A very, very good photostream to stalk (if that sort of thing works for you.)

And yes, darling, I called you wonderful. And now it will be on your profile for all eternity!

    Deal. With. It."

"Ken is a great guy with a great eye for pictures. i have only come into contact with him in the last month, and since then, we have been joking around in messages almost everyday.

The fact that he still uses a point and shoot baffles me. Some of his shots almost look like they were taken with an SLR. His coverage of philly is superb.

Keep up the good work Ken, and put some sunscreen on that bald head of yours. It's summer for christs sake!"
