Keith Rothfus brings a wide range of experience and a deep commitment to principle to his campaign for Congress.

After graduating from Notre Dame Law School, Keith came to Pittsburgh with his wife Elsie, who had grown up in the northern suburbs, and their young daughter. Today, that daughter is a college sophomore and the oldest of six children.

For the twenty years since he arrived in Pittsburgh, most of Keith’s professional life has been as an attorney in the private sector, working with large and small businesses as they struggle to expand and create the jobs and opportunities that will shape the future of western Pennsylvania. He has seen first hand the impact high taxes and ill-conceived policies have on the lives of the people of this region.

From 2005 to 2007, Keith worked in the Department of Homeland Security, heading the office that worked with faith-based organizations to provide disaster relief after Hurricane Katrina and other natural disasters.

Keith approach to health care is shaped by his own experience as a cancer survivor who benefited from the best care available in the world and who ran a marathon eighteen months after his surgery--something that would almost certainly have been impossible in a system of government-run health care.

Keith’s campaign for Congress has won the support of a wide range of Fourth District voters--Republicans, Democrats, and Independents who believe that the time has come to elect a citizen candidate instead of a professional politician and to choose a lawmaker who not only shares their values but is not afraid to be a leader.
