Well where to start I got into photography really by accident i had a point and shoot little Digital camera when i came to Iraq and started taking snap shots well i wanted to do more than get what was there. So i got a XTI Cannon and played with that for about a year and got bored. Mostly i didn't know what i was doing and was shooting in auto most of the time. I sent it home and quit for a while. Well i started reading about the new 40D and thought man that thing looks cool and like it would be fun. So i bought it and 3 different lens. The 17-55 that comes with it a 28-135 WA and a 70-300 all IS AF lens. Then when it got here i started palying with it still didn't really know what i was doing. A friend and co worker has been to college for photography so he gets me aside and we start going over the settings and composition and all the different quality's a good photo should have so now i at least understand the principles. Still not real good at them but getting better and have several real good shots still working on it but here in the desert you don't have allot of subjects to choose from so i do what i can with what i have till i go on R&R in April then its back to the states and a 21 day motorcycle ride so i will get tons of photos there i am sure and allot to bring back and upload who knows i may upload as i go stay tuned and see what pops up.
