With special thanks to my Flickr friend Plum Leaves for using her beautiful decorated initial for my icon.

Artist, designer, history and music lover.
Flickr used to have categories of personal information, but now you have to decide for yourself what to include. Very democratic of them. So a few random thoughts: my favourite composer: Ralph Vaughn Williams, my favourite author: Jane Austen, my favourite artist: That's a really hard one! Daniel Garber, John Singer Sargent, Camille Pissaro, Claude Monet, etc, etc. My favourite book: the Bible. These are just a few of my favourite things . . . (oh yes, my favourite film: The Sound of Music!).

I'm very busy again, so I do apologize for not visiting everyone's pictures and making comments, as much as I would like to!! :))

I administer two fun groups, the Hair Drawing Club and Window Boxes, if you are an artist who draws hair or a photographer who takes pictures of window boxes, please join us:

Many thanks to my fine Flickr friends who have given me such lovely testimonials! :~)!

"Kathleen has a really great way of capturing everyday incident on her morning train ride. She has a very good sense of composition, and her line drawings are really worth examining closely. Besides that she has some lovely photographs within her stream; these help inform her art. Do take time to look at her work and her photography you will find it an uplifting experience."

"I love seeing what Kathleen has in store for us every day - her work captures every day occurences for the moments of beauty they truly are. She is an "existential" artist - she allows us to live in the moment with her sketches. Oh, and did I mention that she's extremely talented?
Thanks for blessing us with your fantastic art!"

"Kathleen's photostream is magnificent. Every day you take us on the bus, you take us on the train. We get to experience your journey in such a lovely way. As we ride on this photostream, we too ride along with you on your creative journey. I look forward to see what you are up to daily...It's like getting a hold of a great novel that you can't seem to put down. Her talent is incredible...I can't wait to see what she will draw next. As busy as she is, while she sketches along the way, she never is too busy to leave an encouraging word for one of us. Her beautiful spirit spills out of her drawings and into your heart."

"I first came across Kathleen when she politely enquired about putting some images on the Georgian Architecture Group. Little did I know that a few weeks down the line I would be receiving words of encouragement and advice which would eventually get me back into the art groove after a long time out of it.

It was Kathleen who introduced me to the wonderful world of EDM (Everyday Matters) and it is through this world that I get such inspiration not only for my art work but also for my photography too.

Kathleen's art is remarkable. Her subway series is particularly enriching - she has a remarkable eye for detail and makes mundane social situations just jump out of the page at you."
