"Sometimes I get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter"
Ansel Adams
"You can't photograph if you're not in love."
W. Eugene Smith
"Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst"
Henri Cartier-Bresson
"Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop"
Ansel Adams
"A mad, keen photographer needs to get out into the world and work and make mistakes."
Sam Abell
"Above all, it's hard learning to live with vivid mental images of scenes I cared for and failed to photograph. It is the edgy existence within me of these unmade images that is the only assurance that the best photographs are yet to be made"
Sam Abell
"You know you are seeing such a photograph if you say to yourself, "I could have taken that picture. I've seen such a scene before, but never like that." It is the kind of photography that relies for its strengths not on special equipment or effects but on the intensity of the photographer's seeing. It is the kind of photography in which the raw materials--light, space, and shape--are arranged in a meaningful and even universal way that gives grace to ordinary objects."
Sam Abell
"It is essential for the photographer to know the effect of his lenses. The lens is his eye, and it makes or ruins his pictures.
"A feeling for composition is a great asset. I think it is very much a matter of instinct. It can perhaps be developed, but I doubt if it can be learned.
"To achieve his best work, the young photographer must discover what really excites him visually. He must discover his own world."
Bill Brandt
"The camera is a remarkable instrument. Saturate yourself with your subject, and the camera will all but take you by the hand and point the way."
Margaret Bourke-White
"I photograph to see what the world looks like in photographs."
Gary Winogrand
"When you photograph people in colour you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in B&W, you photograph their souls!"
Ted Grant
"36 satisfactory exposures on a roll means a photographer is not trying anything new."
Freeman Patterson
"Curiosity melts you down to the size of the len's opening, so you can slip into the unknown. 'No one has gone that far before' - this is the only compliment for the insatiable imagination. It's not a sin to get lost. You should lose your way. Just be sure to find a way to get back."
Gueorgui Pinkhassov
"Every time someone tells me how sharp my photos are, I assume that it isn't a very interesting photograph. If it were, they would have more to say."
Author Unknown
"The type of photographs you make, the subjects you single out, reveal the person inside of you. How close you get to your subjects reveals how close you want to get."
Anonymous
"And if these pictures have anything important to say to future generations, it’s this: I was here. I existed. I was young, I was happy, and someone cared enough about me in this world to take my picture."
Anonymous
"When clients ask me how their child should be dressed for a session, my usual response is:
'The morning of the session, when your daughter wakes up with crazy hair and wearing an old princess nightgown — don’t touch her. That’s perfect.
I suppose the reasoning behind this preference of mine is that genuine memories can’t be built on artifice. Years from now, you’ll want to remember what your family life really looked and felt like — not what the photo session looked and felt like.
Let it be, let it be."

"When I look at kayodeok's photos I have the impression that I take only black and white, so much colour he puts into his picutures. He is one of the few London photographers here on flickr I get inspiration from."

"Kayodeok
I never met him in person. Only on flickr explore I found him.
Since then I have been addicted to his work. from his words, I understand that he have been inspired by many well know photographers in the world.
However, what I discover is that, he is very talented in all segments of imaging. An artist never failed to use his imaginations, creativity & innovation in his work.
Each piece is a master piece by itself.
I am totally impressed.
Thank you for your kindness, encouragement, sharing & inspiration to many on the net.
You are a great Imaging Artist.
I appreciate it!!"12th August, 2007

Leviathor says:
"Kayode's twilight work is some of the best. The perfect exposures and vibrant scenes are tireless reminders that going outside at night without camera in hand is a mistake.
Not only does Kayode wow with imagery, he also seeks out and matches pertinent information in an educational effort. This adds another dimension which is always welcome in the world of Flickr. Also welcome are his comments, which are level-headed and informative.
Thank you for the friendship, imagery, and information, Kayode."19th April, 2007
