My name is Chalsie and I live in Hawaii
I'm a softie...a senti-MENTAL looney who cries at sad sappy movies and loves it...bring on the kleenex. I'd much rather be crying because of a movie and not be depressed because something in MY life has run amuck. I speak my mind, I love jokes and laughing my a%^ off hysterically... which I do quite frequently. I wish I myself were perfectly PC but I tend to find the practice absurd.

I've lived a miraculous life with my mother surviving breast cancer and my father surviving a heart transplant. I have a schizophrenic uncle who has a brother who is homeless by choice and their mother (my grandma) is now old and suffering from dementia. My grandfather died 5 years ago from leukemia. Yet I am normal by most accounts. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by my doting husband, my perfectly sweet 8 year-old daughter and family and friends who love me. I think I'm lucky because I don't suffer from depression the way some of my friends my age do. It's a terrible thing to be depressed.

hmmmm what else can I say.....I'm lazy in weird ways, I'll pull weeds for 3 hours but if you ask me to do dishes everyday I'll let them pile up. I hate cooking but love baking. Why you ask? because when you bake you mix it up and throw it in the oven and forget about it till it beeps. Then you take it out and it always tastes good because it's usually dessert and I didn't write the recipe. But with cooking you have to play it by ear and stay by the stove or it burns. BURNS! You can work hard for a whole hour and then in 2 minutes it goes to crap.

I hate the tv because I could lose my whole life to it if I'm not careful. So I just abstain. It bugs when my husband leaves it on when he's not watching and it takes me a while to realize I'm glued to it and turn it off. I like to read books. I love free time and solitude where I can finish my thoughts and not be interrupted.

I don't believe in God so if that offends please make friends elsewhere. I do believe that we can all believe in whatever we want as long as we're not hurting anybody. My daughter and husband go to church and I have little debates with my husband about Him. But we are both respectful of each other's beliefs. In actuality, I think the bible has many good life lessons and values that I believe in. I just don't believe in Him. Okay enough heavy stuff.......
