Hello and welcome to my flickr gallery. My name is Kavita; I'm a keen photographer based in London, England where I live with my husband Pete. We both work for our own company in the IT field - I'm an IT Trainer & Consultant, Pete's a systems designer and programmer and we also design and create websites.
I have been into photography since childhood and persuaded my parents to buy me my first SLR for my birthday when I was about 13. My other passion is travelling and the two interests combine very well. About 6 years ago I finally switched my husband onto photography too and having one’s partner and best friend show enthusiasm for one’s interest has ramped it up for both of us. Now we enthuse, teach and support each other and I can plan trips around photographic opportunities to my heart’s content.
The last 3 years have seen our photography move from just a hobby to a potential secondary career. Whilst I doubt we’ll be able to make it our main earner we’re both working hard to establish a small photographic prints business as well as a strong portfolio of stock images.
