Introduction is always difficult. Let’s start abruptly. I am a retired Senior Vice President, United bank Ltd, HO Karachi, the 2nd largest bank. My hobbies are photography, gardening, handy work i.e. making and breaking things till I am satisfied or tired of trying to perfect any job in hand or project, Internet browsing etc. I usually sit on my computer at least 4 to 5 hours daily. (No doubt a bad addictive habit) and watching TV if any interesting Fiction film is shown.

Photography is my prime hobby. I bought my first camera when I was 18 years old. It was Kodak Brownie. Then I had Kodak Box. After that I was able to get a German Camera named “Decora”. It was the best camera at junior level. Lately I had a Russian SLR "Zenith" which I used for couple of years.

Coming to digital photography, I started with “Argus” 1.3 mega pixel. But I got rid of within 30 days of purchase and bought Canon Powershot A40 followed by Nikon Coolpix E4300 4 mega pixel.
I am now planning to buy mega zoom camera, the first choice is S9000.

I have made a set of Monopod, three Camera cum External Flash Brackets viz. small size, medium and large. I have also made some home made Diffusers, Reflector and a Diffuser cum Reflector Doom for Close up photography. I have been able to cover couple of marriages in the family in USA and Three big functions. Nikon E4300 did a very good job. I love this one.

So far I have been doing Portraits, but after joining Flickr, I am now taking interest in the great arena of digital photography.

Flickr is a great community platform for all ages. We can intermingle, exchange ideas and pass on our experience and expertise to other members. The benefit is mutual.

I have read and reread lots of literature on Photography and Digital Photography, but I firmly believe, that it’s nothing, as there is no end to learning. The knowledge gives confidence and confidence leads to experimentation in all fields of life.

I am always at the learning end and I am thankful to Flickr’s Community for providing us so much knowledge, not only in the sphere of photography but also in the development of human relationship and understanding the meaning of life. We live now days, not in cities, or towns but the Global Village on account of fast and reliable media of communication.

My inner desire at this age of 68 years is, by the time I die, this Global Village should have changed to a peaceful, loving and enjoyable community of human beings, respecting each other and yielding a bit to make space for other humans as well.

Love not hate should be the motto and slogan of all nations put in practice. May God bring peace on Earth. Love for all, hate for none.

Amanullah Khan.

    BlaiseAllen says:

"Aman is the most thoughtful Flickr friends I have. When he comments on your photo it is beyond the usual compliment. Aman has a keen eye for what is being processed inside the photographer as well is in the frame. He is kind and creative. If you have Aman as a Flickr contact, consider yourself blessed! Ansel Adams said "A photograph is usually looked at - seldom looked into." Aman looks deeply and I am grateful for his insight and generous wisdom."
