UPDATE: 03/31/10 Just realized how out of date my profile description is!! So I'm now shooting PT for my own photography business Photography by Kat. Things have really exploded in the last several months with portrait and wedding work! I'm loving it! To check out my site click on the website address listed on this page.

Old Profile Info: I work for a trade publication in a myriad of different roles. One portion of my job description includes publishing, editing, and event planning.

I'm good at all this, but what I've always loved, and gravitated toward, is photography. With that in mind I purchased a Nikon D80 in March 2008. I am now working on becoming skilled enough that I can start a side job in photography and hopefully down the road turn it into my full-time "career".

Currently, while I'm working on 'the skillz,' I'm shooting a lot of architecture, nature, stuff around my house (that's a category right?) and throwing in some reportage work for good measure, but want to do portraiture work in the not too distant future.
