Abandoned shopping carts sheltered by palm trees. The snap and flash of a camera. Sirens at the crack of dawn. Cool salty, air off the ocean. Spilled ice-cream on the boardwalk. Tattoos and libraries. Tracks in the sand. Light dancing on waves. The punctuation of a car horn. A seagull’s call. Roads that lead to hills and vineyards or trails and mountains. That is California, and that’s what inspires me.
