I have always LOVED vintage illustrations, especially those meant for children. The illustrators of the early 20th century hold a special fascination for me.

Flickr enabled me to see, and sometimes to pick up, many images which years ago took a lot of time and effort to find via discouraging web searches. Now I have my extensive collection of favs and galleries online! Some of these images I use in my craft work of handmade cards, necklaces, bags, toddler dresses and aprons.


Not wanting to take and not give, I have recently begun collecting books and ephemera. The books that have the most surprises are the old textbooks with marvelous illustrations from the 1920's and 1930's. Textbooks follow the art fashion of the times, it seems!

Have patience with me - I am a very NEW novice at Photoshop. Please share tips with me when you see an image that needs improving. I scan most images at 300 dpi, so hopefully those of you who want to improve on an image can do so.

Please note that whenever I find an exceptional image site, with permission of the owner I may share it via a few of the images with a link back to the site. These are NOT my images! Please contact the link owner to ask permission for redistributing via your site.

None of my images may be used for digital image redistribtion. However, use for crafts for personal use or to sell limited quantities of is encouraged. I try to date these images from before 1955, with most much earlier.
