  "Right, well we are going to start off all cute and then descend into random chaos and insults probably. Firstly I'd like to thank Ms Marsh for her fabulous testimonial on my Flickr site (she was my first and popped my testimonial cherry, they say you always remember your first but I have so many I can't even remember why i started typing this sentence or indeed the point of any of this and I think I have left the iron on and I had a cup of tea which I have lost and will now of gone cold), secondly I'd like to thank the members of the Village People for busting their moves and showing me that it wasn't my sexuality but my fetish for uniforms that defined me as a really dirty pervert, thirdly I would like to thank my parents who really should have spent their money on more holidays for themselves as my education has been a shameless waste of money. Phew, I hate these acceptance speeches, it does make you wonder if I really should of just posted a short "sorry I couldn't be there to accept this award" video on youTube in fact I would of but it seems to be full of homemade Bat out of Hell videos and happy slapping clips, I will of course treasure this fantastically intricate award and place it on my mantelpiece ..... what there is no award and I haven't won anything, damn someone should of said early and I wouldn't of gone on, oh woe is mine I look such a fool. This type of embarrassment will have a deep emotional impact on me, I am donning my best uniform and Poland should jolly well look out. By the way I am looking for a tall regimental sergeant major for my elite tranny parachute regiment, if you see one let me know.

I've come back to this shot a number of times because it is so directly concerned with what flickr and photography at the highest level are about > the art. So often, flickr can seem to be filled with snapshots and worse commercial pilferage, but there is so much on flickr that is stunning and educational.
  
  'Blinded by the Light' is a reminder of the talented photographers one can find on flickr. I won't comment about why, as it is better for the photography to speak without narrative. Seek it out and make your own decision.
