Photographs can be political. Photographs can offer social commentary. Photographs can be beautiful. But always, photographs are a critical reflection on the world we experience.

I'm a third-year journalism student, minoring in politics, in Toronto. Photojournalism, international politics, Middle Eastern history, travel, and solid feature stories keep me going. I am always craving a good read and a strong coffee.

I started a non-profit organization in Kalandia refugee camp, West Bank, this year. It's a youth media program, with a mission to empower and motivate the kids in this camp. The program also offers the international community a window into the Palestine-Israel conflict through photographs. You can see daily life for these youth literally through their eyes.
