First of all - I am not the model!!!! lol

Human reason has this peculiar fate,” Immanuel Kant wrote in 1781, “that in one species of its knowledge it is burdened by questions which, as prescribed by the very nature of reason itself, it is not able to ignore, but which, as transcending all its powers, it is also not able to answer.” He was talking about the way reason can speculate about, and yet not know, the ideas that transcend it.

Update October 2011
Still here!
The older I get, the faster time passes.
I see it's a year since I updated this profile. So, I'm a year older, still loving living on the Isle of Lewis - but also loving my trips to Glasgow, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Gateshead! It's the people I meet as much as the places. Talking to new people, learning a little about their lives is always fascinating to me.
I've always been an on-looker - a watcher, rather than a taking-part sort of person. So I guess it takes a while to get to know me. My pictures show my little world and the things which grab my eye. I hope you enjoy them.
If you would like a glimpse of this world that I inhabit, I have produced a couple of books which will show you just a little part of my daily life.

Kate

They say the journey is more important that the destination, so I keep going.
Hopefully my passing does not harm many on the road.

"I have known Kate as a fellow member of the Photo Critique Assignment Group on Flickr since I joined in Dec 2007.

She has been a great help as a critic of my photography and her love for the art is an inspiration. I wish that I had met her many years ago!

Kate is constantly at work. Her famous bus stop images and other street candids are a welcome part of my contact's stream and I love reading her thoughts and descriptions of her images."

"Ms. Kate is a storyteller. I look forward to seeing what story she has for us all on a daily basis. Kate is creative, and filled with imagination. Kate has reminded me what photography is all about, it's about telling a story, it's about the human side. Kate does this so very well. I applaude you Kate, and I thank you for your contributions. You are an inspiration to me."

"It's been said already...I often think ( photographically at least ) how lucky I am to live in the big city with so many photo opportunities every day. Kate, living out there on an outpost of civilisation, never fails to surprise and entertain - and the pictures just get better and better. Top work from a very favourite person."

    Michael - B says:

"What I like about her photo stream is that it makes me think. Sometimes I look at one of her pictures and I simply have to stop and ponder for a moment or two. So many things just pass through our minds each day that we sometimes long for these rare moments where we can just sit and ponder. If you are the same, and if you sometimes need to stop and take a break, go and have a look at her photo stream right now."

"I think it's fair to say that Kate has broadened her approach over the past year to the point where I never know what to expect next and and am consistently surprised and overjoyed by the vision she shares."

    *Melody* says:

"Kate quite simply takes beautifully thought out photos. She has the ability to see beauty in virtually everything and, as a consequence, takes beautiful pictures

She is lucky enough to live in a gorgeous part of the UK and has no hesitation in shooting it in all its glory.

The one down side to where she lives is that we will probably never get to meet ...but we are virtual drinking and photographing mates

Take a few minutes and browse through her lovely photostream"
