yonnage says:
"I met Erik in 6th grade. Before we became good friends he used to prank call me at home and say "Yoohoo... I'll make your famous".
Ultimately, he is one of the people who got me into computers, back in the early 90's. I remember playing on his 486DX50, with an unheard of 8MB of ram.
Oh - he also had AOL - bah!
We never really drifted that far apart, even when seperated by 3000 miles. Erik has always inspired me to do things that I didn't think that I could do, and has always been there to help me when I needed it.
He knows a little (or a lot) about everything, which is sometimes scary, and very unfortunate for anyone who gets into a debate with him.
Erik loves dogs more than anyone I know, but if you are reading this, then you are already familiar with his beautiful puppy Ellie."29th October, 2005

GlenC says:
"We've spent many a long night working out bits and bytes and threatening monitors with physical violence to get a program to work. Generous with his Photoshop 4 actions and host to a few David Lynch film marathons. His inexhaustible supply of curiosity and knack for wired culture make him both Phat and Legit. and yes...empathy like no one I know, which is somewhat refreshing nowadays."

"I was involved in a very technical industry for a number of years, and because of it, often came in close contact with brilliant people. I can say without hesitation that Kastner is one of the smartest people I know.
If you take a look at a photostream, you will get a sense for his great capacity for empathy, as evidenced by his feelings torward animals.
Let's see what you do with your new Elph!"30th March, 2005
