On October 17, 2011, the PBS NewsHour used one of my photographs in their broadcast. The image was the background photograph, behind Kwame Holman, from 3.52 minutes to 4.01 minutes in the broadcast.

Most of the earlier photographs were taken with a couple of old Olympus SLRs and scanned in with a CanoScan 9950F.

I bought an Oly 5050 in October 2004. The camera has some noise, color and auto focus issues. I replaced it with a Canon 400D and have a discussion thread about it.

September 20th, 2006, my Canon XTi, with EF-50mm f1.4USM lens, arrived.

Four years later, on September 16th, 2010, my Canon 7D arrived. My first impressions are posted in the Canon 7D discussion group.

I have a few photographs on FD Scout Explorer page for top 500 Interestingness. Most of them have fallen off the list, I do not actively push my photographs. I try not to be a comment/contact collector and I return comments and complements to the best of my ability.

I went to Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands in 1992 The following photograph is of a young man jumping from a tower with vines tied to his ankles. This was taken during the Land Diving ritual on Pentecost Island, Vanuatu.
