My photos are taken on location. I do not move animals or flowers to make them look better in a different place. I may hold the branch with the flower, when it is too windy, to keep the flower in focus. If I have restacked wood in the yard, and there is a lizard, I may move it to somewhere else in order to not crush it.
But frogs on a plastic bucket and emus in a pasture are taken, where they chose to be themselves, even if this may not look like nature.
And I do not make photos of animals in zoos and post them as Wildlife. Furthermore, I do not give awards to wildlife photos, where I am not convinced that they are what I see as authentic.
Also, I do not give awards to photos which have no single line of a story to tell. I like to get at least a name of the plant or animal, a location of that spectacular building, or its use, some history. That makes it so much more interesting to be here.
