Egyptian novelist, had his bachelor degree in political science from Cairo University in 1984 and he had his masters in foreign policy from Sorbonne in 1987.

Has worked in social and political research, press and in the area of TV and film production and direction.

Published his first book "Taxi" in December 2006 which achieved a big public and financial success as well as being translated into more than 15 languages.

His second novel "Noah's Ark" was published by the end of 2009 and it also achieved a big public and financial success. It is currently being translated into several languages.

روائي مصري، حصل على بكالوريوس العلوم السياسية من جامعة القاهرة عام 1984، وماجستير في السياسة الخارجية من جامعة السوربون عام 1987.

عمل في البحوث الإجتماعية والسياسية، وفي الصحافة، وفي مجالات الانتاج والإخراج السينمائي والتلفزيوني.

نشر أول كتاب له في ديسمبر عام 2006: "تاكسي" الذي حقق نجاحا جماهيريا ونقديا كبيرا وتمت ترجمته إلى أكثر من خمسة عشر لغة.

ونشر روايته "سفينة نوح" في نهاية عام 2009 وقد حققت هي الأخرى نجاحا جماهيريا ونقديا كبيرا ويتم الآن ترجمتها إلى أكثر من لغة
