Clément Paradis (born May, 9) got his first camera at 7. It was the nineties: we were about to see a new century, apparently full of promises. He kept shooting more and more since then. We're not going to bother you with what happened or how good he did with his studies, the important thing is that his life is dedicated to his work, as a storyteller, trying to shoot in reality the images he dreams of, and picture reality as a dream.

Clément Paradis follows in the footsteps of Araki, Marcel Proust and Christian Vander. To him, a single photo hasn't a great value, it's like a note of music, or a word in a novel, or a grain of sand. And all the grain of sands look alike from afar. Altogether, a note or a word or a grain of sand can produce a symphony or a novel or... some kind of mandala.

The work of the photographer is like a mandala: it's a collection of real things built to allow a kind of meditation. It's also a way to tell stories - Clément Paradis knows that well and shows his special style in the series of "sketchbooks" he did around the world for the band 12Mé & Raph: issuu.com/zedka & in the photography magazine he edits: Timeshow.
