My background is in Fine Art and Design. A late starter in terms of my artistic and educational career, I began as a self-taught ceramicist, moved into painting, and eventually gained a BA hons in fine art at the University of the West of England in Bristol UK.

Post my degree, I taught art to teenagers disaffected by mainstream education for seven years before starting my own practice in September 06. A series of unexpected events led me to exploring mosaic method for garden sculpture and handmade furniture. I am lucky to be associated with a talented blacksmith, Nathan Bennett (he doesn't do internet..yet) which gives me the opportunity to create my own metalwork elements and commission him to produce wonderful quality ironwork for framing and supporting my work.

I have many supportive contacts and friends on Flickr to whom I am gratefully indebted for their support and interest, which helps to make my pages here more interesting and informative.
