I am a semi-retired clergyman/writer with a passion for travel, history, and the great outdoors. My travels have taken me to 57 different countries of the world, all of the 50 United States, and more than 3,000 of the 3,142 counties in the U.S. My goal is to visit at least 100 different countries and every county of the United States or its equivilent in my lifetime.

I have decided to use Flickr as a way of electronically scrapbooking some of my travels. It will take me forever to upload and organize all my photos - especially since I keep traveling and taking new ones.

One benefit of travel is that it has greatly increased my knowledge in studying the history of the late great Confederate States of America and the War Between the States (aka War for Southern Independence, American Civil War, etc.). You may see that interest coming through occasionally if you follow much of my photostream here on Flickr.
