I'm a theoretical plasma physicist (in training): a graduate student at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Lincoln has been my home for xyz years, but my heart lives in Boulder, Colorado; this is why I am either in Boulder or Lincoln at any given moment (about 80% of the time in Lincoln and 20% in Boulder...and 2% in Denver...give or take 2%).

I like my pictures to epitomize a subject, mostly because it is then much easier to think of titles. Although I would prefer all my photos to look beautiful or interesting, sometimes I'll just take the shot for the story, or even because it might be a good photo for people to re-blog. The photos I'm most proud of are in this set My Favorites (updated once every few months).
