I am many things to many people, but here on flickr I am a photographer. At other times I may be a husband, parent, friend, tyrant, engineer, woodworker, cyclist, or explorer. All of these things, and maybe more, are likely to be visible in my photographs.

I don't claim to be a great photographer. I am humbled by some of the talent I see here on flickr. I call myself more of an "opportunistic" photographer. I don't spend days studying a subject looking for the perfect moment and the perfect lighting. Instead, I bring my camera with me while doing everything else I need to get done. Walking the dog? Take the camera. Bringing the kids for a ride? Take the camera. I keep my eyes open and shoot when the opportunity presents itself.

I've been taking pictures for years now, but I have just recently started looking for ways to share the art I've been creating. There are many beautiful things in this world, and I enjoy preserving and sharing my views of that beauty with others. I hope you enjoy viewing my photos as much as I enjoy taking them.
