My name is Jose.

I was a Combat Photographer and Videographer in the Marine Corps.

I left the Corps so I could go to film school. I went into the service in the first place for the school benefits. I felt that after seven years of service, it was the right time to take the opportunity to go.

As a Videographer, I was deployed to Cuba, and meet a Navy Chief who was an award winning photographer, and videographer. He told me, that if it wasn't for his many years as a photographer, his videos would not be as great. And his work was phenomenal. Images that inspire.

I live in New York at the moment, looking for work.

The capturing of images has always inspired me. I wish I could capture moments that inspire as well. And I hope to find work doing my photography.

Good luck to all of you photographers out there, doing the same. I wish our career paths could be more good to us all. Personally, I've had a hard time finding work that pays photographers. No one wants to pay photographers these days.

Flickr has inspired me so much. I never knew the world was filled with such beauty. I wont quit photography, even if the world quits on me. I'll continue to do what I love.
