Hello, I'm José!

My interest in photography started back in 2001 on a trip to Egypt. Back then I used a small film camera to take pictures during the trip, which was enough to get me addicted to photography.

However, I only started to learn how to take proper pictures when I bought my first digital camera: a Canon Powershot G5. The possibities offered by digital photography, made the learning process a lot faster (and cheaper, since I didn't have to pay for film developing). The interest kept growing, so in 2006 I bought a SLR camera, a Nikon D50, which I'm currently using as my main camera.

Nature is the main subject in my photography, and my hometown - Arouca, Portugal - is my greatest inspiration, especially the beautiful landscapes of Serra da Freita.
