I shoot film, because I like it. And I like film cameras. I shoot color, but black & white is what I like best. I develop my own B&W film, but I let Manhattan Color Lab on 20th between 5th and 6th do the color stuff.

Mainly I am a poet. I have a book out entitled Asleep in the Lightning Fields, a chapbook entitled All About the Blind Spot, and a second book called The Circle Line from The Backwaters Press. I won the Blue Lynx Prize at Eastern Washington University Press in 2008, and my manuscript, Boys Whistling like Canaries, is now available.

I use photography to help locate myself in the world.
