I am a slightly-insane 20 year old from the middle of nowhere between Milwaukee and Chicago. Proud of it.

Super-thanks to anyone for the comments, faves, or hell even the views! Constructive comments are much-welcome, they help improve my work.

=WHAT I DO=
Most of my photographs are of whatever fascinates me... typically anything with local history and/or "vintage" (prior to the new-millennium) aesthetics. Common subjects are automobiles, signage, graphics, architecture, random "survivor objects" (things that would normally be thrown away, such as soda cans), amusement parks, obsolete technology, and whatever else I see-fit.

My most-popular work is within derelict and abandoned buildings--particularly Dixie Square Mall; downtown Gary, IN; Brach's Candy Factory; and the Karcher Hotel in Waukegan. This is in hopes of preserving what I feel has become (unfortunately) a "disposable society" where elaborate structures of the 20th century are swiftly knocked down and replaced by oversized cinder blocks, hipster condos, and big-box retailers selling overpriced Chinese crap.

=EQUIPMENT=
Primary camera is a Nikon D3100 body with the 18-55 kit, 18-70mm, and 55-200mm DX lenses. I also use a few Nikon point-and-shoots when necessary. Video (when not on the D3100) is usually with a Canon FS-200.

Another recent venture has been instant film, and while its quality has its shortcomings, it's always a fun diversion. I have many cameras that I try to use in-rotation, but my favorites are a 1978-built Polaroid SX-70 Alpha 1 and a 1960s Polaroid Big Swinger 3000 handed-down from my grandparents.

I will eventually be experimenting with Super8 and 35mm film, as well.

I am 100% self-taught; and always-learning.

=PROCESSING=
Photoshop Elements for the normal adjustments, and Picturenaut for bracket/blending/HDR/whatever. Unless the photograph is crap from the start, I try extremely hard to preserve natural light and color. Doesn't make sense to make a dilapidated church look like an acid trip... unless, of course, you're tripping balls.
