I'm a software engineer for McGraw-Hill. Well, a double-outsourced contractor. Long story! Anyway, I'm fascinated with ways to improve the education process, from teaching to learning to assessment.

Before McGraw-Hill, I ran a company out of my home called "GeoFrameworks," and sold GPS and GIS components for the .NET framework. The software is still in use around the world, from geocaching to bomb-disposal units in Sweden. The source code for these components is now public domain and available on CodePlex.

I have a very strong background in software development, particularly in regards to architecture and designing intuitive components. I see the entire universe as a hierarchy of objects, and am fascinated about how life itself is a form of software.

I enjoy Colorado and the many things to do outdoors. I'm a bit of a recluse though I've already made my mark on the world. I like my accomplishments to speak for me. I enjoy the company of close friends and live a contemplative existence, always looking for deeper meaning.

I administer a couple of large pages on Facebook, mainly "Zeitgeist: Addendum," a popular film which talks of flaws in our economic system and proposes a "resource-based" economy. I also manage several non-profit causes on Facebook, including a group for survivors of child sexual abuse (like me), survivors of the Greensburg tornado in Kansas, and Habitat for Humanity in Wichita.

I have a YouTube page with videos now, just in case you'd like to see me scream when my truck is struck by lightning.
