I'm an all round naturalist and artist, and up to now have mainly painted botanical subjects, but with the digital photographic revolution and some serious spending, am now able to capture images of species previously way beyond my reach. Still in the very early stages of learning how to use all this Nikon stuff, not many 'keepers' yet; what I consider to be good images will be added as time goes on.
I love being out in the wild, either solo, or with one of my like-minded companions.
I'm passionate about 'saving the planet', horrified with the recent news that the Bush administration censored scientific-based climate-change reports, and see the changes all around (trees and flowers flowering earlier each spring; species moving slowly north; more severe weather events - even here in the UK).
We all live on this earth and have to share it, so we cannot pursue individual paths - we have to all agree together that something is changing, which it is most likely due to our pollutive activities, and work together on ways to reduce our 'carbon footprint'.
Some people may be bored with this environmental stuff, but if you guys out there have any children, they're going to face big changes. I'm not even sure what the answer is myself - more nuclear might save carbon-dioxide emmissions, but has nasty side-effects! We need to re-learn how to live with less impact on our surroundings.
