My passion for our community and my experience with the issues comes from having been a parent, a small businessman and an active leader in the fight to support local schools and hospitals. My values are the ones my parents and grandparents taught me. My wife, Carrie, and I met in college and are celebrating 25 years of marriage with five wonderful children. I believe young people need strong role models and a positive self-image so I’ve worked hard to serve as a youth athletic coach for 30 years. I have always worked hard in my professional life but made it a point to be involved in the lives of my children and community.
