I have been painting and taking photographs seriously for many years now. After studying art at college I went on to gain a BTEC National Diploma in photography. Although eclectic in my choice of subject matter, I specialise in landscape, wildlife and abstracts images.
I have travelled the length and breadth of the UK and some places abroad, capturing the light on land and sea. At present I am a primary school teacher in Perthshire, and am in the process of collecting a portfolio of more local scenes.
Recently, I have also been combining my knowledge of photography and painting, to produce ‘photo paintings’ – a process whereby original photos are carefully and painstakingly crafted into paintings using specialist art tools on the computer.
