Firstly Thanks for taking the time to stop and look at my photos and thank you to those that leave their comments. I assure you they are read and appreciated. I don't often leave comments on mine or others photos as that I am busy these days and have little time to surf around Flickr.
If there is anything specific to want me to respond too, the best bet is to write to me through the flickr mail and I will do my best to respond.

FAQ
Can I blog one of your images?
Yes, please go right ahead. send me a link to your blog while you are at it.

I work for a Charity / Non Profit. Can we use one of your images for free?
If your organization is for a good cause and is staffed by all volunteers, please ask me for further info. There is a good chance I will be cool with it.
If you or other people are getting paid on the job the image request involves, I think it's fair that I should get paid also. If your budget is small, just ask. Like you and everybody else, I have to make a living.

What equipment do you use?
I have a bunch of cameras and lenses, but my most trusted setup my Canon 5dMk ii and a 24-70mm lens. When the moment is right, I sometimes switch to prime lenses. I think I have about 9 cameras in my collection. Some get a work'n and some collect dust.

Can I buy a print?
Yes, just ask.or visit my site www.jonathan-clarkstudio.com

How do you get so intimate with your portraits?
A smile goes along way. Being open and having no hidden intentions works wonders. People will mirror you.

    Denis G. Coupal says:

"Jonathan Clark's a rising star of world photography. His portraits are stunning and spirit-catching. His eye for vibrant, life-intensive photos is impressive... just look at his growing oeuvre. To watch. His work will be in TIME magazine and National Geographic one day, not that far off.

    Lola June says:

"Be careful, because Jonathan will look at you and instantly see the complex hues of your aura. He will catch your soul with his lens and reincarnate you through reproduction. He'll capture your essence in a portrait and the result will make you believe in your own special blend of magic. He will paint a picture of your spirit by mirroring it back to you. His exceedingly well crafted repertoire of photos will introduce you to the world through his eyes, and you'll like his version better."

    Creativist says:

"Jonathan's portriats are a tour of the world, of laughter, of beauty and reality. As a fellow lover of humanity and the portrayal of it in its many forms, I appreciate the sensitivity and energy that Jonathan! puts into every shot.

Take some time to browse through his portfolio. Look through his eyes into the eyes of the world. It will be time well spent."

"Jonathan is an artist, he is a work of art in progress and he surprises us by each photo. I think by now he has photographed just about everyone in Montreal so he might have to move to another city :)! Just kidding, Jonathan, keep up the lovely work, you are an inspiration!! And a good friend! :)"

    Saramandus says:

"I often feel that pictures taken by someone with great artistic skills are more interesting and better than pictures by photographers who are very technically advanced. What makes Jonathans pictures so special is that I get a feeling that he's an expert in both areas; an artist who knows everything there is to know about the camera he's using. I get many ideas and a lot of inspiration from his pictures which will make me a better photographer eventually. If you can watch all photos in his stream without wanting to move to New Zealand (or Montreal) you must be missing a heart :-)"

"I feel honoured to be the first one to leave a note to Jonathan, a truly fabulous visual artist who has traveled the world outwards and inwards.

I know Jonathan personally and he is one of the liveliest persons I've ever met. He transfigures the way he sees life and the world through his photography and his drawings but also in real life.

Humble and generous, you'll never ever forget him if you peep into his world and get to chat with him. Enjoy the kiwi ride!"
