Although my main career is as an exec in the music department of a large entertainment PR firm, photography was long my soothing escape. Years ago, I sold many of these shots in local galleries and art fairs, but in recent years - between job and family - I just couldn't find the time to keep at it.

With Flickr, I've had the chance to once again share images that I had long put away, and as a result, become inspired to start shooting more frequently again.

My one major Flickr frustation... I am now convinced that photos chosen for Explore must need some kind of embedded code that they originated as digital images. Just about everyone of my images was originally shot on slide film or negatives, and converted to digital images through a desktop slide scanner. In fact, for along time, I had only two images in my photo stream taken with the small digital camera used for family shots.. both taken by my wife... and of course, one of those is the Only one to make explore.. So, My talley is over 500 posted images,..and ZIP in explore. I post two images from my wife's pocket digital nikon, and she has a .500 Explore batting average. Enough to make a guy crazy...
