John Perlock (taurus) grew up in the back of a red Dodge listening to Detroit soul in the late 1970s. His Father eventually sold that Dodge.
As for his artwork, the art of the social realists and the golden age illustrators are among his many influences. His illustrations have appeared in Applied Arts Magazine's illustration annual, advertising campaigns, magazines and on packaging from New York to Los Angeles and Vancouver to Toronto. Some of his clients have included:
Pepsi, General Electric, US Navy, Esso, Nintendo, Boys' Life Magazine, American Bar Association, Luxor Casino, IBM and BMW.
