"John and his family make me feel happy every time I look at his photostream. John's love for his kids is clear as day! I love seeing all the ways he encourages in them his own great qualities of curiosity and openness to life and unfailing sense of humor. True blue, salt of the earth, a generous heart and soul! J/G, thanks for being you and sharing your family with us. You and your family are a gift, may others learn from you how to live."

"If I ever need a roof or a Hotwheels question answered, I know where to go.

It's also nice to have a Flickr pal who photographs some of the same sorts of things I do (such as fire hydrants) but in a different part of the US. It's like free travel."

"John is a great Flickr buddy and I've had the opportunity to meet him in real life as well, where he is even nicer, if that is indeed possible.

John also has a Flickr mandate to photograph and catalog interesting signs, businesses and street scenes in Toledo (You like how I just expanded the mandate?) which he is very adept at (he's definitely got an eye for that sort of thing). I love his take on the the Glass city and surroundings and his enthusiasm is contagious. (He drags his camera everywhere, how can you not respect that!?)"

He's been a Flickr friend for quite a while and I also consider him a personal friend even though I've never had the pleasure of meeting him in person. John, I hope you never tire of sharing your photos and your family with us. It's been a fun experience and it's always great to see what you're up to!"

"John Fite, Father, roofer, photographer and penultimate family man. Spend a little time here with John. You’ll see what I mean.

Here’s a man proud of his children and very engaged in their lives, so many of his photos bespeaks it. Personally I’ve seen those the camera loved and those who love the camera. John’s photos show a man who loves his family and the life around and in him. It’s palpable and obvious. This family’s joie de vivre comes through in every image.

This little spot, their piece of Ohio, is a respite away from the our own realities, for whatever John’s reality may be, this stream is uplifting and inspiring. I always come away with a smile, glad to have spent a few minutes with the Fite’s. Glad to know him."

"Before saying anything about Johnnie, I must first mention that I enjoy the photos that he posts and thank him for bringing his part of the world closer to us. Johnnie and Liz are blessed by two children, as seen through his photography. His photography sends a message for us to enjoy life no matter how simple or sophisticated it may be. Thanks for opening my eyes, my friend! - Fred"

"It's been 8 months now since John and I first crossed paths on Israel's Cedar Point pictures in May of 2008, and you'd swear that he and I have known each other longer. Cut from at least very similar cloth, many of the pictures we take and comments we make are similar (he takes a lot of the shots that I would have taken), and at least one time we had a picture almost exactly the same!

Despite our similarities in style, we have our differences in style, too; and the internet seems to be big enough for the both of us. :-)

John may not realize that he is one of about a dozen people on flickr that inspire me, but he is. I think you'll enjoy his photostream... but I'm biased. ;-)"

Thank you, John, Liz, Johnny and Gracie, for sharing with us your loving family photo album, particularly your impressive toy collections, the wacky adventures of Leia, Padme and Shadow, and your beautiful country. Above all, thank you for the occasional fits of laughter and your constant support of my own photos."
