I am a newspaper photo editor by day, and a painter and photographer for the rest of the time. My paintings explore relationships of light and photography in the digital age. The Human Scale Chess Project, where humans play the roles of chess pieces and are notified of the moves via cellphone, began as a part of the Psychogeography Conflux in May 2003. I am the founder of the Williamsburg Chess Club for Wayward Men and Ladies, which has now morphed into The New Greenpoint Chess Club. I performed with Sal Randolph as Weapons of Mass Destruction. I obsessively collect vinyl records, love single malt scotch, and speak only a little German. Keanu Reeves once lit a cigarette for me.
