I read way too much and work in a camera store. I'm not really exciting in person.... I like photography, you probably guessed that. Some photographers I like? Richard Nickel, Simon Marsden, I am no where near as good. I belong to the Association for Gravestone Studies .

Nintheenth century architechture, 1920's - 30's jazz, I don't get later jazz.. Or much of anything that happened after say 1939. I like impresionist and pre Raphaelite painters, the surrealists and dada..... not so much after that.. Sort of like High School history, the ice age to Harry Truman. I don't get anything after that.

I probably spent to much of my childhood in cemeteries museums, antique stores and historical sites as these still seem fun to me. So I try to go to The AGS Convention every year. Basically a cemetery group (real time) that meets once a year to tour cemeteries.

I love old photos. I look at them and think.. these were real people. If I was there I could walk up and shake their hand and walk through that door in the back of the photo, and I woul dsee what you cannot.

I like going on trips and can find obscure sites. I am excellent at touring. In London my friend ,David, refered to me as a Touring Machine.

    Kay Harpa says:

"Dear John, you were my first friend on Flickr when I was called Kaedele. I opened my gallery in June 2007 and soon, you came to comment some of my pictures of the Père Lachaise.
You are a faithfull friend, nice and kind with plenty of humour. You have such a love and respect for the Dead People that they become immortal and forever present among us. You are a great specialist of cemeteries but you have a great love for animals too. Without knowing it, you have learnt me a lot, you gave me lessons of living.
Dear John, I consider you as a friend and I'm always glad to visit you and your beautiful, so interesting and touching gallery.
    Longue vie, John !"
