I'm a retired teacher living in Salem, OR. Since retirement, I've focused more and more on photography. One of the things that I've enjoyed about Flickr is seeing the incredible diversity of talented photographers, particularly young photographers who let their creativity and individuality fly. I love to follow their progress, just to see what happens next.

Getting to know people from a variety of places in the world is another thing that I've enjoyed about Flickr. As my contact list grows, I'm met some wonderful people who continue to dazzle me with their new creations and ideas. I try to be as honest and supportive as I can when I comment on others' work, and appreciate the feedback that I get as well. I am starting the process of cleaning up my Flickr account. I've decided to drop my membership in any groups that require commenting or are invite only. I'm also going to be editing my contact list. There are quite a number of folks who have never commented on any of my photos, or we no longer comment on each others photos. So I am going to take a look at each on and evaluate whether to keep that contact or not. If we've been in contact on at least a semi-regular basis, I will definitely keep you.
