This flickr stream is my photographic notebook, journal, and gallery. Nearly every day, I go for a walk or two for exercise, and I take my camera with me. My goal is to photograph what I see, improve my photographic techniques, and have fun.
I enjoy learning about photography, and I'm working on high dynamic range (HDR) techniques. I'm also interested in local history and working to fill in my MKE Album. Although I have sold many photos commercially, I am still learning. I learn a great deal from observing the world around me and from other photographers.
For subject matter, I like to take photos of the surprising details and everyday beauty of the scenes and moments around me. I am very grateful to live where I can step out my door and walk in any direction for amazing views of the lakeshore, river, and urban scenes.
