Been slowly getting the photography bug for a couple of years now. Using point-and-shoot equipment (Cybershot T3), but slowly getting fed up with the limitations. Will have to get some "real" equipment soon?

Flickr has gotten to me now to a degree where I have ordered a Nikon D80 and a Nikkor 18-200 lens to go with it...does that make me a nutcase? Does it make it worse that I seriously considdered getting the D200...? *grins* I just discovered that I wasn't able to produce the images I wanted with the equipment currently in my possesion...and when you reach an obstacle - go around, under or above. I chose above.
So watch this space - I have the house, and the lens should be with me in November (Go Nikon go! Way to follow up demand... :-P).

It's here. It's mine. I have it now. My D80 / Nikkor VR 18-200 lens combo has arrived, and I can't stop clicking! Unfortunately, this being my first DSL, I haven't the foggiest what I'm doing...so expect A LOT of "learning by doing"-shots... ;-)
