Jo Gore and The Alternative is a Pop/Alternative Rock/R&B jam band from the NC Triangle. Band members include: Jo Gore (lead vocals), Bakru Hunsel (drums), Bo Lankenau (Acoustic Guitar/Harmonica), Kip Perry (Upright and Electric Bass), and Jared Woffard (lead guitar).

Their second album, The Herstory of Josephine Gore/Return of the Articulate Kinsman Vol.1 is scheduled to be released this spring 2012.

Jo Gore and Guitarist Bo Lankenau just completed 4 music videos with the help of Mandeep Lehal from Studio 765. The vids will be released in Dec. 2012.

The Jo Gore Jazz Quintet is subset of Jo Gore and The Alternative. The members include: Jo Gore (Vocals), Chip Newton (electric guitar), Kip Perry (upright bass), Bo Lankenau (Acoustic Guitar), Weldon Kollack (Trombone), and Bakru Hunsel (Drums),
